Okies, I accept the fact that my son is growing big and heavy. I also accept the fact that many more bruises will appear on him. That is Cedric. Being a baby, he is curious about anything and everything. He climbs, crawl, pull and stuff anything into his mouth. Recently he likes to pounce. His favourite target: the comforter.
When he crawls into my mom's room, he gets all excited when he sees the comforter. He'll crawl real fast up the platform and unto the bed. Weird thing he does is, he'll move slightly away from the comforter first then turn around to face it. Before you know it, he'll suddenly just pounce into the comforter.
That's how he recently injured himself. The comforter was piled up on the bed, but i think someone might have moved it so it was half off the bed and on the platform. I was told that Cedric was so excited to see the comforter that he jumped into it and he missed the bed totally n landed onto the platform...so that was his misadvanture. But I believe that it won't be the last time you're hearing from me about all this.
He is growing up real fast. Maybe in a month's time he'll be able to walk on his own. I'm worried that before he is able to stable himself while walking, he'll start to think about runnning. That is where i believe that he'll have more injuries. I would like to think that the more he fall, the faster he'll learn about danger and learn to fear it. I know that all this falling is part and parcel of growing up, but what would my mother-in-law say when she see all the bruises? Will she insist that she'll want to bring my baby back to her house to take care? Will she snatch Cedric away from me? I know some of these worries are uncalled for as Colin will be there to stop her. After all Cedric is my son and in the eyes of the Law, I'm the legal guardian. Anyway, I just want to be able to teach my son what he needs to know and I shall make sure that he grows up to be a fine person and not some wilful brat. That's all I'm asking for.
