It seems like this baby is really very active... already i'm starting to feel it stretching plus some occassional kicks... not sure wat's going on in its head...
The check up on 2/11/05 wasn't that bad, i mean all the worries of my baby being still-borned juz seemed to vanish when the doctor let me hear the heartbeat again....
Colin's reaction was really funny....He was shocked...but after which he seemed more attentive to me...
Sometimes being pregnant makes me think stupid things...I do feel that it is really hard even though i'm only 5mths pregnant but i do get the feeling that i wanna give up... i mean i did complain upfront to Colin that i dun wanna go thru all this anymore...He gave me a very sad look and said that i wanted the baby in the first place...as if he din want it too... but i guess i was juz complaining and for me to actually go for an abortion, i think i'd rather let u kill me first...
But i'm really very worried... at 5mths, i'm already hving difficulties sleeping and moving ard.. wun it get worst when i'm into my 8-9 mths? I mean i'm cleaning my room today and i realise that i get breathless very ezily juz by squading and standing up...wat will happen when i'm in my 8th mth?
I'm hoping that my baby is a boy...my mom says that i'm sexist...well, i'm NOT...it's juz that hving a ger makes living expenses higher...think about all the accessories that i'd need to buy to match with her clothes... wat about when she grows up? Hey i'm a ger myself...i know hw much i spend on accessories and other rubbish... and of cuz not forgetting that we have to be prepared for the ever sickening time of the month....so nw do u think that guys are cheaper to maintain than gers? I really think so...
Anyway here's an update on my baby's development...
Baby's Development This WeekAge of Fetus—17 weeksThe baby is developing at a steady pace and has undergone some incredible changes. This week, the baby begins taking on more fat, which is very important for its ability to create and maintain heat and for metabolism. If baby is a girl, primitive egg cells are developing in her ovaries. Girls are born with all the eggs they will ever have. The egg you released to conceive this baby is as old as you are now!
Other changes that are happening:
The baby's ears now stand out from the head.
The placenta will continue to grow from this point on but only in diameter, not thickness.
This week a temporary hair called lanugo will appear on the baby's body and head but disappear by birth. No one is sure of the purpose of this hair.
Baby's Size (head to rump) this week: About 5.25 to 6 inches
Weight: Approximately 7 ounces
Right now baby is about the size of a small banana.
